What’s Our Problem?
So here it is, Wednesday the second week back to school. Activities have started, routines are being established. How are all you Lazy Moms feeling out there?
Are you happy to be back to school? Are you getting into your school year routine? LMA and I have been having a hard time getting back into a posting routine. We haven’t quite figured out why that is. Was it a mistake to have given ourselves a posting break over the summer? We still posted, just not every day. Maybe that feels like our new routine?
This is what my week is looking like so far. Up early, kids dressed, lunches made. Possibly a work out (or probably not), think about what’s for dinner. Putz around on my computer. Run errands, meet a friend for lunch, do some laundry. So far my days sound pretty great don’t they! And they are great, really great! I have no complaints.
It gets a little crazy when the kids get home. I’m preparing snacks, going through backpacks, supervising homework, reminding about chores, cooking dinner, running the shuttle bus (shuttle SUV?) to activities. All the things moms do all the time.
The biggest change in our home is a new chore chart. Our kids have always been responsible for certain chores, but nothing was written down. They did what we told them when we remembered to tell them. Now we have plan and it’s in writing. I’ll tell you more about that another time.
Well, that’s what’s happening here in Lazy Mom Leslie’s world. Nothing exciting or out of the ordinary. But, it’s my ordinary, you know? And that makes it exciting to me!

missed you at the gym this morning!!
Oh what cute kids you have!!! They are just adorable and I am so happy everyone is off to a great new start of the school year!
Yep, my schedule looks like yours…getting everyone off to school…cleaning, errands, laundry, grocery store, exercise, coffee or lunch with friends, afterschool chaueffering, dinner, dishes, chores, showers, bedtime, signing papers, paying bills, watering plants, etc…etc…
I signed up for two Bible studies starting next week, volunteering at the kids’ schools, Weight Watchers meetings, and a new knitting class! Life is good and we are blessed! But like you, it seems all these activities are taking the place of blogging…I LOVE to blog, but it takes time and I am thinking I should schedule it into my day! Love you both, love your blog, and wish you a wonderful rest of the week!
You girls are right, you have gotten lazy with your blog post. Don’t you know I use your website to entertain me when I’m waiting at the Dr. or waiting in the carpool line to pick up kids. I need you both to get it together ok! I look forward to your posts!
As for school starting, I’ve loved the routine back!!! Except of course for the whole after school homework/snacks/activities/dinner routine. Haha
