What is the Best Entertaining Tip?

  • Don’t make them feel like a burden. Ask them to pitch in with something (most people offer…say “Yes! Thanks!”) and then it feels collaborative and inclusive. All of you working together to have more time for fun and frolicks! You wait on company, but family helps out. Help your guests feel like a true part of your home and family by sharing simple tasks so they feel like an asset, and not a liability. (33.0%)
  • For each guest I also take two bath towels, matching handtowel and washcloth and wrap them with a beautiful ribbon that matches the room decor and place them on the counter in the guest bathroom along with a little basket filled with travel-sized shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, mouthwash, bodywash, and lotion. (28.0%)
  • I also put a few dryer sheets in the a/c filter to help the house smell wonderful right before guest arrive. (20.0%)
  • I always have something "live" on the table--greenery or flowers (cut from my backyard) or candles. Looks nice--and smells nice, too (15.0%)
  • I put the guests’ towels (the nice, newer ones) in their room so they don’t pick the old ones on purpose. (5.0%)
