Remember when Lazy Mom Amanda confessed that she didn’t make it to church Sunday morning? Well I have a confession, I didn’t either!
Lazy Dad Philip went fishing over the weekend and when Sunday morning rolled around I was hungover excited about sleeping late. Oh, I kid! I did go out with some girlfriends Saturday night and shared a bottle of wine but not too much! In fact, as we were sitting on the patio of a favorite Mexican restaurant having dinner who walks up but Lazy Mom Amanda! Even when …

How does a Lazy Mom deal with after school activities? Well, a really lazy mom just doesn’t allow them, but I have conceded and we do participate in after school activities. It’s enough to run any mom ragged. Drive here. Drive there. Turn in waiver here. Bring snacks there. Team mom here. Carpool there. Just thinking about it wears me out.
The general rule of thumb at my house (to keep me sane) is one activity at a time per child. Now, with 3 kids, this still equates to a lot …

Have family movie night at home instead of at the theater. The popcorn is cheaper, the seats are more comfortable and you can talk to your kids while the movie is playing. Hey, the tickets are way cheaper too! The best part? You can go without a bra and not worry about the Lazy Moms What Not to Wear police taking your picture!

We’ve told you before what a great cook Lazy Dad Philip is and that Lazy Dad Daniel needs a little guidance in the kitchen. Actually he needs a little guidance TO the kitchen. So for Mother’s Day we decided that Lazy Dad Philip would give Lazy Dad Daniel a cooking lesson. It started out in our heads as a big fancy meal that they would make for us. But like any good moms our families needs came first and time spent with our children on Mother’s Day became a priority …

When I was a kid life was easy. Or at least it seemed that way to me at the time. Sure, I had to go to school. But that was pretty much it. I remember coming home from school, maybe doing some homework and then pretty much playing until the sun went down. I did get very involved in dance during middle and high school and that took some time. But I don’t remember feeling overwhelmed, or more on topic over-scheduled.
Kids these days (do I sound old or what?), seem …

What is a Lazy Mom vacation? A trip to the beach at an all inclusive resort? A spa weekend with her hubby? It could be. But for this Lazy Mom the ultimate Lazy Vacation is a camping weekend.
Yes, you read correctly. A camping weekend. You never pegged me for the camping type did you? Well life is full of surprises! The surprise right now, or maybe it’s not, is that I am not the one doing the camping!
My husband and daughter are part of the Adventure Guides program (formally known …
