Denise, Campbells does make a Cream of Onion, I found it with the rest of the soups at my Kroger store. I think the Cream of Mushroom and Garlic will be fine. There are mushrooms in the sauce and garlic in the potatoes so the flavors will all blend fine! Remember to make your patties smaller than ours were so they cook a little quicker. Hope your family loves it! Mine did! One question….are you going to wear your pearls and heels while you serve it?

Hi Ladies! Well, instead of our usual Thurs. pizza night during Survivor, I decided to make this wonderful dinner tonight! Quick question, I found all the ingredients, BUT the cream of onion soup. Is it in the Campbells sections like Cream of Mushroom, etc… The grocery store had French Onion soup,and of course the onion soup/dip powdered mix. Maybe it was just our Safeway that doesn’t carry cream of onion…darnnit…I bought cream of mushroom and garlic soup instead…do you think that is an adequate subsitute? If one of you reads this comment within the next two hours, will you write me back with advice on my soup delimma? Our son has guitar lessons and then I am going to prepare this meal for us to enjoy while watching, “Survivor” tonight! Thank you!!!

Great, and funny post. Congrats on the Sandra Lee connection! It cracks me up how she ends every show with a MASSIVELY alcoholic drink. Who cares WHAT you serve, or how the table looks, when there’s that much booze in the glass?
