Make New Friends…

But keep the old.  That’s how the song goes, right?  I have been blessed to make some great friends sine my move in August.  In fact, Julie, is the first “friend” I made.  I met her at tennis.  She figured out I had just moved here and asked me how I was liking it.  I burst into tears.  (Charming, huh?)  Turns out, she found that endearing and took pity on me.  She gave me her number and then went home to tell LML all about the new girl at tennis who cried.  At this point, LML looks up my number and gives me a call.  GREAT friends!  The best.  I can’t imagine not having these girls as friends.

Joli and I met in 1996 while Lazy Dad Daniel and I were engaged.  She and I became fast friends.  During those early years we were always together.  Joli was one step ahead of me in life.  It was fun to run around with her and see what life would be like for me someday.  Joli and I have one of those friendships that we can go for months without talking and then pick right back up like no time has passed.  She will be my friend for life!blog-lm-0011

Imagine how thrilled I was when she bought a plane ticket to Houston.  So, of course I needed to get my old friend with my new friends.  Last night we all went to dinner together.  There’s nothing like a night out with your girlfriends.  Girlfriends are timeless!!
