Lazy Mom Confession: Desperate For Designer Duds!
I confess, I love a good pair of designer jeans and I have a real weakness for designer handbags. With the economy being tight, these luxuries are a littler harder to come by. This spring when I had my eye on a new bag, I decided to sell a couple of my old Coach handbags on ebay. (This is also a great way to keep your closets organized!)
The only thing I have ever sold on e-bay is OU football tickets. Many of you are great ebayers and have had lots of success, but this was really my first go around. The first thing I did was take pictures of the items for sale:
Now, this bag was a little dirtier and I really wanted to be an honest ebayer (and didn’t want to have someone hassle me for a refund later) so I took a picture of both sides and the inside. Let’s face it, the inside of a purse gets cruddy!
On one of the purses I put a buy it now price. I realized after it sold so quickly that might have been a mistake. The other one I let go the full length of the auction and it sold for even more. All in all, I made enough money off of those sales to pay for my new Brighton Handbag! Isn’t it cute??

Now, remember when LML and I went shopping for jeans? I’ve got to sell those pair of Sevens that I probably will never fit into again.
What about you? Do you sell, donate or trash your old items? Do you have any pointers to help this Lazy Mom out?

I love Ebay! I buy and sell. The best thing is clothes for children. The year before last I spent $300 on clothes for 2 of my children: it was entire summer wardrobes for both!
I sell things pretty sporatically, but usually sell quite a bit before Xmas!
Thats so funny…I also have an addiction to COACH purses. I usually buy them at tax refund time. We have a COACH outlet store very close to where I live. I now shop there and find AMAZING deals, sometimes the one I wanted when it was in season at the expensive mall store is fraction of the price at the outlet. I recently bought two this year and they each were $100 at the outlet. FABULOUS!!
Now, I’ve tried selling a couple of COACH purses on ebay and it was so-so. Buyer was picky and returned one but was able to sell it on craigslist. These purses will be vintage once I hand them down to my daughter. They are all in excellent condition. She has already picked her favorite. A little lavendar one with a bee on it.
Its all my husbands fault who bought me a prada purse almost nine years ago. Its been designer ever since. Gotta love him:-)
I am also a Coach addict! I used to live in NH right near a Coach outlet and had lots of purses before I had kids and actually got paid money to work! I’ve sold a lot of purses on ebay and have only kept a couple of the ones I really like. I have to confess that I have also bought some new ones too! (and some Dooney & Bourke!)
You can sell pretty much anything on ebay. My husband laughs at me but I managed to pay for everyone’s Christmas presents last year with ebay money. Keep on going!
P.S. CUTE NEW BAG!
