I just try and get my teenage girls to take one load up the stairs every time they go. (note- doesn't always work) The kitchen should not be their closet! If that doesn't work, I pile stuff on the stairs so hopefully they will see it and take it up. When my “lazy” daughters still miss- I pile it on their beds. Hopefully, they will have to see it and move it to get in the bed at night. Warning, the ulimate “lazy” teenager might just in the bed with the junk!
I don't have teenagers yet but I have a 10,8 & 6 yr old. I have totes I fold there clothes in. All the clothes that needs to be hung I just lay on top with the hangers they put it up & hang it up. Believe it or not it really dose save me about 15-20 mins a day.

That's great Monica! Teaching the kids to do some of the chores and take care of their things is the best thing we can do for them and for ourselves!

I'm starting early with mine. I make my 3 yr old pick up his toys if he makes a mess… well, he helps me anyway
