DH is coming home this afternoon. Why do I let the house get so messy when he is gone? I feel like I have so much picking up to do. Anyone have any secrets? Do you do this too?

I'm starting early with mine. I make my 3 yr old pick up his toys if he makes a mess... well, he helps me anyway

I like to cook, but I don't like the mess. My solution is to clean as I go. By the time dinner is ready, I have almost everything clean, Then all the clean up is the plates and utensils we use to eat from.

I tried this tonight and it was so easy. By the time we finished dinner it was just about done. Thanks for the tip, I will definately keep doing it.

It's that time of year! So, do you do a big spring cleaning each year? Next week we are focusing on spring cleaning. Pick a project and get going. Take your before and after pictures and email them to us!

We have two readers that have emailed us their pictures to share with you next week. We would love to have more! How inspiring to have a whole week of before and after pictures. It would also feed my voyeuristic tendencies!

Lazy Mom Amanda and I will be airing our dirty laundry, what about you?

I am very lucky and he just enjoys cooking. Each morning I ask him if he has any plans for what we are eating for dinner. I have to ask. If I don't and plan something myself, half the time he will have already decided he wants to cook something else. He actually thinks about what he wants to cook and will go buy the ingredients. I know, not only am I Lazy, I am SPOILED!!

(note- doesn't always work) The kitchen should not be their closet! If that doesn't work, I pile stuff on the stairs so hopefully they will see it and take it up. When my "lazy" daughters still miss- I pile it on their beds. Hopefully, they will have to see it and move it to get in the bed at night. Warning, the ulimate "lazy" teenager might just in the bed with the junk!
