Lazy, Lazy Moms!!!

We have been so Lazy!!! We have thoroughly been enjoying the last few weeks of summer and have been too Lazy to work on this blog.  Truth be told, we have been so Lazy that we didn’t even have any blogging material.  (Do you think my computer break has helped my leg?) But, alas, all good things must come to an end.

I have spent the last 2 weeks in Tulsa.  My parents and Big D’s parents live there.  My kids were going to Kanakuk in Missouri and so I stayed with my Mom while they were at camp.  We had a great visit!  The kids loved camp.  But, the reason for this post is to talk about all the food I have been eating!  Ugh!  It’s disgusting.  (As I write this I have sent Big D out for one last ice cream from Braum’s.  Any of you Okies will know what I mean!  We don’t have Braum’s in Texas.)

During my two week stay in Tulsa I did reconnect with my former personal trainer.  She is the greatest!!  She is so encouraging, motivating and inspiring.  So, in between restaurants I would stop off and see her.  I’m sure she has wondered what has happened to  her sculpted piece of art (me) and how did it get so soft and mushy!photo (3)

She has generously offered to write me two workouts each week.  She will e-mail them to me and says I can share them with all you other Lazy Moms!  It’s like getting a personal trainer for free!  (Make sure you consult with your physician before starting any exercise program.)   She’s also going to send me her weekly menu of what she is eating!

So, as we get back to school, let’s also get back in shape!  Who’s with me?  Who will be my cyber workout buddy??

If you want to win a Lazy Mom’s Tote Bag to take to the gym with you, leave us a comment.  Tell us anything regarding your exercise routine.  Tell us you are already in shape.  Tell us you are going to work out with us.  Tell us there is no way in heck you are going to the gym!  You have until Saturday night at midnight to leave a comment!  Good luck!bag

For those of you in Tulsa, you can go see Dawn in person at Body Definted Fitness!  It’s a great gym with lots of great trainers!

I am with you! I started the south beach diet yesterday, so far so good. Can’t wait for the kids to get back in school to get with my exercise routine again!

What a great idea and how timely! I just uncovered my treadmill and dug out my pilates dvd! It’s time to get back in shape so all of my clothes will fit! :) Now – to just get out of bed earlier.

I have thought all summer about how I want to lose weight. The problem is, it’s been REALLY hot or REALLY wet here in Oklahoma and I’ve used that as an excuse. As it starts to cool down I REALLY need to lose at least 15 lbs before it gets to cold outside. I plan to start walking in the mornings after my kids are at school. I’d love to have fellow online workout buddies to share the misery and the joys with!

You’ve been telling me for the last two weeks how much you have been eating and how we are going to have to get back to the gym when you get home. Um….YOU LOOK GREAT! I know black is slimming and all but even your arms look thin! I don’t believe you’ve gained any weight! I did all that sympathy eating for nothing! ;-)

After a trip to California 2 weeks ago, I became more motivated than usual to step my health program up. I’ve started eating more veggies and eliminating those bad-for-you snacks. Now I need to up my exercise. Looking forward to LMA’s posts on the exercise routine and a trainer’s diet. With a big b-day looming next year, I’d love to drop a few lbs!!

I’m with you ladies!!! I need this motivation to get moving!!! I love to eat…I love good food, and think a meal isn’t complete without dessert! :-) I get moving and excersizing for a week or two and then let it slide…not sure why I am not staying on track. Reading your blog will be just what I need to get going and not use any excuses. Thanks for the encouragement!

Just FYI…if you live in North Texas, you still have access to Braum’s! :) There is one about 3 miles from my house.

OMG! I am an Okie who loves me some Braums!!! We do have one here in North Texas, tho. Hate, hate working out. Belong to a gym and go about once a week. Sad! I will be checking back for the workouts and for inspiration from other Lazy Moms!!!

Well, I am all for FREE personal training!!!! I got on the scale today and almost cried. Sad thing is I have been running with my neighbor…aparently not enough. Although it might be what I am eating, so I would love to see what her weekly meal plans look like. I will be running and riding my bike a lot the next few months. My crazy neighbors convinced me it would be fun to run the half marathon (what was I thinking). Riding my bike is soooooo much more fun than running.

Can’t wait to see her routines and meals!!!!!

After having 6 kids in 10 years, the body has taken a bit of a beating. I have about 30 more pounds to lose to be pre-babies and have lost weight by eating right and working out (occasionally).

Would love to win the bag!
