Any time we take a car trip, I put a basket of snacks in the seat between my kids. This way, I get to choose what goes in there, and we don’t spend money when we stop for gas. Inevitably, driving a long distance in the car is like a prolonged snacktime, so at least I have something for them (ok, and me too!). I also keep a little trash bag in the front to gather all the tidbits of trash. That way, the car doesn’t seem like a tornado hit it during and after the trip! Robyn W.
When packing for a trip put your each of your children’s outfits in plastic zip lock bags. So when they are getting dressed you just hand them a bag and do not have to fuss with digging around the suitcase. The bags also come in handy for other uses such as trash bags. Jennifer J.

I do NOT wash my face. I use an inexpensive astringent with 100% cotton pads (made in America ’cause who KNOWS what might be in the ones coming from China, thank you very much!), and an expensive face cream. There is a HUGE difference in GOOD face cream/moisturizer, so if you have to skimp somewhere, don’t let it be here. I also exfoliate once a week (okay, I’m Lazy, once every two weeks) after laying in the tub and warming my face with a cloth. I get compliments on my skin all the time and I’m too old for those!

Hi Lazy Moms!
My beauty shortcut is shower caps!! My husband travels every week and so I’m lucky enough to have an endless supply of these handy dandy thingamagigs for free (Lazy Mom extra point since I don’t have to go to WalMart/pay for it? Just thought I’d give it a try girls…). Anyway, I’m always hoping for the Bridgette Bardot(young, fresh Bridgette, not older Bridgette with all the cats and stuff), just woke up from a fabulous late night party in Paris kinda look and it just doesn’t happen with freshly washed hair so….I confess my good looking hair is really dirty hair. I use the shower caps to make sure the rest of me is nice and clean (I’m not into THAT kind of dirty, dirty you know..) and get good dirty hair in the process!!
I keep an extra toothbrush handy and once a week I coat me lips with a thick layer of vaseline of carmex and then scrub them with the toothbrush. It exfoliatess the dead skin, keeps them soft and gives them a great natural color.
I try to wash my face soon after I get home from work and change to comfy clothes. If I don’t do this, I get truly lazy toward the end of the evening and barely take off my eye makeup. If I do it right away or while the kids are bathing, my face is clean, and I’m ready for bed! It’s becoming my routine!
I am really bad about not washing my face at night before I go to bed so for those occasional blemishes–I use just a little bit of toothpaste on it–and the next morning it usually all gone!
My fashion tip… You can keep up your style by adding a few cute an inexpensive shirts to your closet. Assuming you already own a great pair of jeans (which is a must!), head over to Ross, TJ Max, Old Navy or Target and pick up a few cute and fashionable shirts every now and then. You will probably find shirts for under $10 (I have a few that were only $5.99 from Ross). Forget spending hours putting together outfits… just throw on your tried and true jeans and your trendy new shirt and you have a lazy moms version of style. You can update your look each season without breaking the bank.

Let’s see…I love to get pedicures, especially when I leave and my feet are smooth, and my toes polished. In between pedi’s, I will slather a good heel cream like, “Shea It Isn’t So Foot Cream ” from Bath and Body Works on after every shower, and then again at night and wear socks to bed to let all that moisture soak in. I also bought the “Egg” at Walgreens that sloughs off dead heel skin. Not pretty, but wearing sandals with rough feet is a beauty don’t in my book!
