A Lazy Birthday
Yep! It’s my birthday today!! And, since my birthday consisted of a tennis match, LML and I celebrated yesterday. But, it was more than a birthday celebration. It was a back to school celebration. Even though LML and I saw each other plenty of times this summer, we so needed some quality time without our kids!!!
We got dressed up and went for a yummy lunch. We had sushi. Do you like sushi? My Mom says she doesn’t like it, although I swear she hasn’t tried it. She says she has, but I’m pretty sure she hasn’t. She likes all of the parts that make up sushi, so why wouldn’t she like sushi???
Do you scrapbook? Or did you ever scrapbook? I used to do it. When I did, every moment in our lives became a photo op for a cute scrapbook page. So it goes with blogging. If you have a blog, no matter where you are or what you are doing, you start keeping mental notes on things you want to blog about.
After our Lazy day out, LML and I bullet pointed all of the things we wanted to tell you.
- Our waiter was good looking. Not hot. But, cute. He was much too young for us, but we thought he reminded us of a “Smith” from Sex and The City. In fact, I was willing to bet money that he had a last name for a first name. I was wrong. His name was Austin. That was my second guess. He has a city for a first name!
- We went shopping and some stores seriously need to work on their marketing. They still have all of their summer stuff in the windows. We are OVER summer. Can you hear us, store? Change it up!!
- Ann Taylor Loft has gotten more expensive over the years. Do you remember when it was cheaper than going to Ann Taylor? Not anymore. Now it’s just the casual version. Bummer!
- LML’s boobs looked big. Yes, you read that right. They did. She had on a new bra and a low cut dress and she had some cleavage working and I wanted to be sure you knew!! She was smokin’!
And, those would be random thoughts by Lazy Mom Amanda!
Oh, when I got home from my tennis match today, this darling package was waiting on my front porch. I had no clue who it could be from. LML bought my lunch yesterday so it couldn’t be from her. Oh, but it was. Look at how cute this is:
How cute is this? It’s a darling picture of LML and I and all of our kids. It’s on a canvas square. But, the question is where do I put it? Right now it’s in front of my kitchens sink. I have a big area there, but I don’t want to leave it there because I don’t want it to get wet and ruined. I love looking at it and want to make sure it’s somewhere I will see it on a daily basis. Suggestions?
Thanks for all the birthday wishes. You are the best virtual friends any girl could have!!!

Happy Birthday Amanda!!!!
Oh, it sounds like you enjoyed a wonderful day…back to school for the kiddo’s…lunch with your best buddy…perfect!!! That canvas is just adorable! What a great idea and I loved it in black and white!
Yes, I used to be a big scrapbooker, but the time to do it seems hard to find so I want to try some of the digital books that I see and give that a whirl! You are right though about blogging taking the place of those picture moments we used to always think about for scrapbooking. My blogging time has really dropped off and I miss it! Mmmm….sushi, yummy…love that too! So happy you enjoyed a great day!
When is your marathon? I ran a half marathon before and always wanted to make it a goal to do a full marathon. Would love to hear the details of your training!
Again, Happy Birthday Amanda and here’s to another year of good health, happiness, and wonderful memories!
With love from Colorado,
Denise
I can’t believe you actually wrote about my boobs! I’m so embarrassed I may never wear that bra again! Believe me, it was all the bra!
