To get kids to help around the house, we came up with a chore system. We have a dry erase board that lists the daily mandatory jobs (making your bed, feeding the cat, etc). We also have a list of optional chores that each have a monetary value. The kids can earn up to $5 per week doing optional chores. The other day LML and I were exchanging e-mails. I don’t know why we didn’t pick up the phone and call each other. It’s probably because we were too Lazy to go look for the phone, but we were having an e-mail conversation. Actually, we were chatting on Facebook (do you do that?), but it was locked up so we started e-mailing.
