BBQ Part II

Well, I was inspired my LMA’s dinner the other night of BBQ Pork and Corn Casserole. I decided I would try it tonight with just one change. I would make my own version of Corn Casserole that my kids LOVE and beg me to make. The only problem was that even though the dishes are not the same I also call mine Corn Casserole. Just for you ladies, I have changed the name to Cornbread Casserole.

Here is a picture. The only problem is I didn’t tell my family that I …

Patti and Her Girls

Patti is back guest posting for us today. This is a topic we can all relate to! Patti is a wife, mother and artist who really knows how to rock a camel hair sweater!

I remember it like it was yesterday: I was about 11 years old and I was at my neighbor’s house to play. Her brother said, “Is that a camel hair sweater you’re wearing? It must be, because it has 2 humps”. As embarrassing as that was, it was also very exciting, because that was the day I first …

Cut Some Bangs

Getting some wrinkles on your forehead?  Don’t want everyone to know you have wrinkles?  Well, bangs are cheaper than botox!  (and a lot less painful too!)

Finding the Right Pair of Jeans

Today I am participating in Works For Me Wednesday.  Since I found a pair of jeans that work for me, I thought I would share!

If you are a fan of Lazy Moms on Facebook, then you know that last week LML and I went jean shopping.  Now, for me, shopping for jeans is about as excruciatingly painful as shopping for a swimsuit.  I want to get those cute jeans in the magazine that the celebrities are wearing, but am quickly reminded that I am an average Mom with an average …

Moisturizer Tips

Make sure you moisturizer has an SPF of at least 15 or higher.  Lazy Moms don’t want to have to put on moisturizer and sunscreen.  Simplify it by using moisturizer that has sunscreen.  And, if you aren’t currently wearing any sunscreen you should start.  Lazy Mom doesn’t have to equal wrinkly mom!

Another great tip in regards to moisturizer is tinted moisturizer.  We have some available in our store.  If you are feeling too lazy to put on your whole face, using this moisturizer will help your skin and cover your …

LML’s Daughter Reminds Her to Wear Shoes

We were getting ready to leave the house last weekend. I was in my bathroom finishing my makeup. I told my daughter, “We’re leaving as soon as I’m done. Please go turn off the lights and TV in the kitchen.” She replies, “OK, don’t forget to put on your shoes.”

Really? Do I often leave the house and forget to put on my shoes? Am I so lazy that she feels the need to be the parent? What obvious things do your kids tell you to do?

Confessions of a Lazy Mom on Parenting

This past weekend I traveled with my daughter to Lubbock, TX for a regional gymnastics meet.  I’m sure I’m going to get some questions on this so I will just tell you that Hannah is not in traditional gymnastics.  She is in TNT (power tumbling, trampoline and double mini).  Most of you probably haven’t even heard of this, but believe it or not it’s a growing sport and trampoline has been in the past couple of Olympics.  It’s tough.  Get out there on your kid’s trampoline and try to jump …

BBQ Pork and Corn Casserole

Tonight for dinner I am making one of the recipes that someone suggested in the Lazy Lounge.  It was submitted by BMagee.

Plain porkloin-Place in crockpot and smother with BBQ sauce
Cook on low for 4 hours -dump a little more bbq
2 -3 hours later, pork loin shreds easily

I also added a little garlic salt for flavor.  I served this on an opened face bun.  Lazy Dad Daniel and all 3 girls loved this.  Here is a pic of the pork fully cooked: (if you don’t think it looks good …

LML’s Favorite Mascara

This is a very personal tip. I guess makeup is probably very personal for all of us. We all have our favorite, swear by, products. Well, this is one of mine. My current favorite mascara is Cover Girl Lash Blast Mascara.

I have tried more mascaras than I can remember, in all price ranges. This is my go-to brand. I buy Very Black in the non- waterproof version. In fact, I don’t even know if they make a waterproof version. This stuff goes on easily, lasts a long time, doesn’t flake …
